SiteMapper is a lightweight desktop tool for Windows that turns a local website folder into a fully editable XML sitemap — no manual URL typing, no guesswork, no typos.
Point it at a folder, get a sitemap Scan any directory — optionally including subfolders — for files matching your own configurable extensions (HTML and PHP by default). Every match becomes an entry you can include or exclude with a single click, right down to whole folders at once.
Drag, drop, done Skip the typing entirely. Drop a folder onto SiteMapper to scan it, or drag a URL straight from your browser's address bar to set the base domain — SiteMapper remembers it per project, so switching between client sites never mixes up a domain by accident.
Fine-tune every entry Set priority, change frequency, and last-modification date per file, or apply a value across everything you've selected in one go. Dates default to the file's real timestamp and can always be reset back to it after a manual override.
See the XML as you work A live, side-by-side XML view mirrors every change instantly — no separate export-and-check step. Need to make a surgical edit by hand? Switch to the XML tab, type directly, and SiteMapper validates it before handing control back.
Already have a sitemap? Load it back in Open an existing sitemap.xml to continue editing it — SiteMapper detects the base URL automatically and preserves entries with no local file match, like a bare domain root.
Safe by default Every change goes through undo/redo. Closing with unsaved work prompts you first. And if a sitemap grows past the 50,000-URL limit defined by the sitemap protocol, SiteMapper tells you before it becomes Google's problem instead of yours..
